LeBron Raymone James Sr. is an American basketball player who is a player for the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. King James has been widely recognized as being among the most notable basketball stars. Michael Jordan is usually compared in discussions about who's the greatest player. James has taken home four NBA championships and four NBA MVP award four NBA Finals MVP awards three All-Star MVP awards and two Olympic gold medals. James is the NBA All-Star who has most points in playoffs, the second-highest point total, and the seventh highest career assist total. James is part of the NBA All-Stars, 18 All NBA Teams, and Five NBA All-Defensive First Team selections. He was the third player to play in the NBA Finals. Eight of these were consecutive between the year 2011 until the year 2018. James was selected to an NBA 75th Anniversary Team and became the NBA's first player to have accumulated 10,000 or more points as well as rebounds and assists throughout his career. He will be the first to do so in 2022. James played basketball during his time at St. Vincent St. Mary High School, in Akron Ohio. The national press praised him as an NBA player of the year. As a prep-to-pro player, he was chosen by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first overall selection in the 2003 NBA draft. As the NBA rookie player in 2004, he established himself quickly as one the top players in the league, winning the NBA MVP awards for 2009 and 2010. James signed a free-agent contract in 2010, after he failed to secure championships for Cleveland. The decision to leave Cleveland for Miami Heat, announced on the show on television The Decision, is considered among the most controversial free agent decisions in the history of sports.
