Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, is a singer-songwriter and Canadian American. There are more than 20 albums that have been made available by her. The music of DiFranco has been described as folk-rock and alternative rock although it also has influences from punk funk hip music and jazz. Ani DiFranco is widely recognized as a feminist icon and Grammy-winning artist is considered to be the first pioneer in DIY music. It was one of the first musicians to launch the label she created in 1990. DiFranco was born on the 23rd of September 1970, in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Dante Americo DiFranco. Her father is Italian descent, and her mother hails from Montreal. 32 Flavors was a track composed and performed by Ani DiFranco. This song appears on her sixth studio album Not a Pretty Girl released in 1995. It was also featured on the soundtrack for the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate, released in 1999. DiFranco apologized in 2013 when it became known that she was hosting an event for three days in an Louisiana former slave plantation. Many (including us) were not impressed by her decision. DiFranco released a new apology days later. Although she is best known by the name of Little Folksinger. However, her style includes a wide range of genres.
