She did not achieve success at the beginning and was faced with a variety of obstacles before receiving her first big break. Before signing to 'Capitol Records' several of her tracks were shelved. Her second studio record "One Of The Boys" was an enormous success that marked a significant turning point in the career of the singer. This was the moment she began her career as a vocalist and never was able to go back after. The next album, 'Teenage Dreams,' was received a huge response from music fans and is among the top-selling albums in the history of music. Katy Perry became a well-known artist following the release of her album. It broke numerous records. Perry, who is known not just for writing songs and recording them but also her charitable works she has an array of interests. Perry is an LGBT rights activist.
