Sadoski began his stage career in the theatre, working as an understudy for Mark Ruffalo (Mark Rosenthal) in the Off-Broadway production of the Second Stage Theatre of Kenneth Lonergan's critically acclaimed show This is Our Youth. This was his first of many productions produced by the company that is based in New York. He has appeared in numerous Off-Broadway and Broadway productions, as well performing in regional theatres. Together with Alison Pill, he played the role of Greg in Neil LaBute's production of the play Reasons to Be Pretty at MCC Theatre. After a sold-out Off Broadway run It was then transferred to Broadway in April 2009. The show received three Tony Award nominations, including Best actor and Best actress: Marin Ireland, and three Drama Desk Award nominations for Best actor and Best Director: Terry Kinney. 6 Neil LaBute credited Sadoski with the shift in tone of The Reasons to Be Pretty, which was a departure from earlier plays. He stated: "His thoughtfulness and good heart allowed him to not go back to something that I had previously done." My plays tend to end darkly. I always thought that was true, that there were always shades of gray. However, he helped me see some other colors that were in the play." He played the character in Trip Wyeth, Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities. For the role, he was awarded an Obie Award as well as an Lucille Lortel Award. After a sell-out Off-Broadway performance in November The play was then transferred to Broadway and was given the award of the distinction of Outstanding New Off-Broadway Performance by the Outer Critics Circle. Sadoski was also seen on Broadway with Ben Stiller and Edie Falco.
